I made a trip there today to get sausages, bratwurst and franks,
buffalo roast,
and other things for dinner
To my surprise, the buffalo meat was super fresh red:
As usual, I broil and then bake my roasts:
Doesn’t this just look TOTALLY TASTY? I cooked it rare, since I was told buffalo meat is leaner and tends to overcook.
Here’s my dinner… (btw, it tasted really good)
- Meat: Buffalo and grilled onions
- Pasta: Organic linguini (Durum semolina)
- Sauce: Roasted portabella mushroom pasta sauce + extra mushrooms
- Salad: Mixed greens + Focaccia garlic croutons + pine nuts
- Condiments: Mustard + creme horshradish
- Drink: soy milk
Hungry Cactus verdict: A
Buffalo meat is lean, but still has the great meaty gamy taste. I like this new taste.
